Welcome to our very first newsletter! 🎉 We’re thrilled to connect with you as part of this inspiring group of founders who are redefining what it means to grow a business while raising a family. Our community is dedicated to supporting each other as we balance motherhood and entrepreneurship, challenging conventional narratives of what it means to be both a parent and a founder.

🌟Accountability Groups Keep Up the Momentum Until Christmas! 🌟

Here at MBC we understand how challenging it can be to stay on track with everything on your plate. These accountability groups are designed to give you the support, structure, and motivation you need to keep pushing forward until the end of the year. With a small group of other founders, you’ll have a built-in support system that keeps you focused, accountable, and ready to hit your goals before Christmas!  

How It Works:

Small Groups: You’ll be matched with 3-5 other founders for an intimate, supportive group experience.

Weekly Check-Ins: Each group will hold their own weekly calls to share progress, challenges, and goals for the week.

Facilitated Group Call: Once a week, join a call led by an experienced coach, designed to help you reflect, share insights, and get expert guidance on anything you’re navigating in your business.

👥 Community Spotlight: Meet Jenn, Danielle, and James

We’re launching our community spotlight to celebrate the inspiring founders who make up Mums Building Companies. To kick things off, we’d like to introduce you to our community leaders Jenn and Danielle and James, the founder of Dads Building Companies.

About James:

James founded Dads Building Companies with great success, creating a supportive network for dads who are growing businesses while balancing family life. Seeing the need for a similar community for mums, he reached out to find the right leaders who could bring this vision to life. That’s when Jenn and Danielle joined to launch Mums Building Companies.

We’re excited to partner with Dads Building Companies on some events and initiatives, creating even more opportunities for connection across both communities.

About Jenn:

Jenn Mathisen is a second-time founder who built her first business before having children. She quickly realised that founding any company is challenging, but doing it while raising kids is completely next level.

Jenn is mum of two and co-founder of KiDSiE, a sustainable outlet for children's goods. After connecting with many incredible mum founders she realised how powerful it is to share the ups and downs of balancing, growing and learning in both roles and the comfort that comes from knowing you’re not alone in the juggle. Wanting to create a supportive community for mums who are navigating the wild and unpredictable journey of building a business while parenting she co-founded Mums Building Companies alongside Danielle and James!

About Danielle:

Danielle Wallington is a third-time founder, community builder and mother of two boys. Danielle built her first business seven years ago, shortly after having her son. Like many mothers, she faced the challenge of having her flexible working request denied and realised there had to be another way.

She went on to crowdfund the MVP of flockhere, an app connecting women working from home with places to work from and people to work with. Over the past six years, Danielle has built a supportive network for female founders and serves as a mentor to help women navigate the highs and lows of entrepreneurship.

Co-founding Mums Building Companies with Jenn and James, she’s committed to creating a space where founders who happen to be parents can openly share the realities of building a business while raising a family.
