Harriet Randell - Nash, Founder of HRN Sleep consulting and The Well Rested Parent Club

Iām Harriet, Iām an OCN-certified childrenās sleep consultant, a mum of 3 and a University of Cambridge science graduate with an MA, MBA and neurobiology of sleep and sleep medicine specialism.
I coach families to help their babies and children sleep better, using raise and techniques based on the latest research and sleep understanding. Itās the foundation of their development, and our sanity as parents!
I specialise in helping working mums prioritise their childrenās sleep so they can focus, enjoy what theyāre doing and bring their best selves to work, their business and their family.
As the mum of a child who slept so diabolically that I changed my entire career, I know how it feels to be just about getting by. Youād be surprised how quickly we could make a difference though, most children sleep through the night within a week or two of working with me. And I never advise just crying it out.
The best thing Iāve found since starting my business as a mum is this community. It seems to bring all the most fun, positive, interesting and go-getting people into the same space and the Venn diagram of the overlap between brilliant founders and brilliant mums seems to be a circle.
Also, starting a business is hard. But not anywhere near as hard as negotiating with a 3 and 5-year-old who have worked out how to team up and run circles around us š¤¦āāļøš
MBC - Offer for members - Ā£75 off a bespoke 1:1 sleep plan with 3 weeks of full support for your family (usually Ā£475). Quote Mums Building Companies when you book a discovery call.
Alice Holland-Lu - Founder, The Female Archetypes

The Female Archetypes was born out of Aliceās personal experience navigating the changes in her body after motherhood. With 15 years of experience in the fashion industry, Alice had always curated her wardrobe with care. After the birth of two children, she found herself struggling to find clothes that fit her postpartum shape. Frustrated with the lack of options that catered to her new body, Alice realised that womenās bodies are constantly evolving - not just after childbirth, but throughout life.
Determined to create a solution, Alice founded The Female Archetypes, a brand dedicated to designing clothing that meets women where they are, without requiring them to change. Her vision is to empower women both in body and mind, offering adjustable, high-quality garments that eliminate the need for multiple sizes and save both budget and landfill space. Using dead stock fabric alongside fabric sourced directly from mills only producing made to order quantities all sewn by teams of artisans in London. With thoughtful designs that address real-life challengesālike incorporating elements for hot flashes in her pieces - The Female Archetypes is a true reflection of her commitment to supporting women through every stage of life.
Setting up a business whilst mothering has given me laser focus I never knew possible. I always had drive and determination but motherhood has distilled it and made me more efficient than ever.
